Passing of a Giant

I know this doesn't have fins or scales, but I am saddened today by the news of the passing of Andrew Wyeth. Representing the second generation of the Wyeth dynasty of American art, his work helped to bring realism back into focus. Perhaps best known for his piece, Christina's World, I am particularly fond of a image of another one of his Maine models, Siri. His particular brand of realism, use of negative space, and lighting come together well in this painting.

I am sure I cannot claim him as an influence, but most certainly an inspiration.
